Arapahoe Community College Digital Accessibility Statement
Arapahoe Community College is committed to providing equitable access to our services for all users.
Our ongoing accessibility effort works towards being in line with the (WCAG) version 2.1, level AA criteria. These guidelines help make technology accessible to all users, regardless of ability, including those with sensory, cognitive, and mobility disabilities.
Our efforts are part of a meaningful change in making education opportunities inclusive and accessible for all.
Our Commitment
- Training and Education: To provide ongoing training and education to our staff and content creators to ensure they have the knowledge and skills to create accessible digital content.
- Compliance with Standards: To ensure that our digital content meets legal requirements and best practices, our goal is to deliver a digital experience that meets the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA compliance.
- Regular Evaluation: We will conduct regular evaluations of our digital resources to identify and address any accessibility barriers, using both automated tools and manual testing.
- Selection of Accessible Tools: We carefully select tools and technologies to ensure they are accessible to individuals with disabilities.
- Feedback and Improvement: We encourage feedback from users regarding accessibility issues and continuously work to improve the accessibility of our online resources based on user input.
