Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Garners Basic Needs Campus Designation from CDHE

Arapahoe Community College (Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ) has received the  (Comprehensive Campus tier) on behalf of the Colorado Department of Higher Education (CDHE) for 2026-29.

This designation reflects Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ's deep and demonstrated commitment to ensuring that students have what they need to persist, thrive, and succeed. The Basic Needs Campus Designation is part of CDHE’s Colorado Higher Education Impact Framework, which identifies the institutional conditions most closely tied to student success. 

The Comprehensive Campus tier is CDHE’s highest level of Basic Needs Campus Designation recognition; it honors institutions that have moved beyond foundational infrastructure and have demonstrated a breadth of support and responsiveness to diverse student needs. Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ is among the inaugural cohort of institutions to receive this designation.

CDHE launched the Basic Needs Campus Designation to recognize institutional leadership, encourage innovation, and create a shared framework for advancing student support across Colorado’s higher education system. CDHE will continue to expand its Basic Needs Campus Designation program and welcomes future cohorts of institutions committed to this work.
